PRIMA GROUP BELIEVES IT IS CLOSE TO A DEAL WITH SKYLINK

The Prima Group says it believes an agreement with operator Skylink is imminent.

Television Prima says it is close to an agreement with Canal+ Luxembourg, owner of operator Skylink, over a deal for satellite distribution of its channels.

"Our goal has always been and will always be satisfied viewers. That is why we are pleased that our current negotiations with Canal+ are continuing. We believe we are close to a joint agreement," Prima spokesperson Gabriela Semová told MediaGuru.cz.

Earlier this year, Prima stated that it had not agreed with Skylink on the terms of distribution from 1 January 2025. The contract expired on 31 December 2024. It covered nine channels in the Czech Republic and four channels in Slovakia. For this reason, it cared for a broadcast infosheet in which it indicated to viewers that the programme was not distributed with the broadcaster's consent.
